More to come...

I am leaving in the morning to head back to NC from my find myself session in FL. I then head to MS for a few days and a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras might be in the works! I'll be back on the road working in the middle of Feb. I'll keep you posted!

From New Orleans, LA to Niagara Falls in 48 Hours

This was truly an awesome weekend! I wasn't working but still traveling. My friend and I decided to head to New Orleans for the day and ended up spending the night on Bourbon Street! This was my first time to NOLA so I was taking everything in, from the smells, the people, the sights, the sounds, and the all around experience! If you've never been I suggest you go at least once in your life!  We ended up leaving NOLA and had to head back up north to work so we decided to take in another great sight! We drove from New Orleans all the way to Niagara Falls, NY. This was probably in my top 5 of great experiences! I'm still looking forward to going back and this time bringing my passport!

Alliance, OH

Not much to say about Alliance, OH except that the skys were awesome and the group of guys we worked with there were stand up salesmen! But check this out!!!

A DC 4th...

One of the cool things about being in Raleigh is the location. I'm only 4 hours from DC and having spent very little time there I decided to spend the 4th of July there! I felt like I did almost everything there was to do except tour the White House. I know this is an exaggeration but I mean I was busy. Walked all over the National Mall, went to several museums, ate at some great restaurants, and took in the fireworks in our nations capital from the lawn in front of the White House. Great way to celebrate our independence!!!

Move to NC

I ended up moving to Raleigh, NC and love every minute of it. There is great shopping, place to eat, and plenty of things to do and see. One of my favorite things to do is grab a bite to eat at Tabaco Road and then take in a ball game. Last time I went my friends and I sat behind Ryne Sandberg. The weather is beautiful almost year round. We sometimes get snow but it's rare.

Back to work

After almost 2 months off I decided to go back to work with a company that mainly works out of North Carolina. My daughter and ex live there so it made sense to be close and not so cold. I had a lot of fun with these guys. We spent a lot of time in Jacksonville, NC which is the home of United States Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and a place I new pretty well. I spent nearly 4 years stationed there as a HE Opporator from early 2003 to late 2006 when my tour was up. Working in Jacksonville during the winter months all of the beach houses were cheaper so we took advantage of it. We stayed at Million Dollar homes for almost nothing and we stayed there often. We also did sales in New Bern, NC which is about an hour north of Camp Lejeune. This coastal area of NC is beautiful and there are some great places to eat! I love working in this area...

Winters OFF!!!

I ended up taking the winter off from working up north because I do not fair to well with the cold, being from Florida. I haven't mentioned my little girl but we travel together a lot. During my break I took here to Disney and SeaWorld. Those them parks are always a lot of fun and we get to frequent them a lot! I would recommend going at Christmas because they have the Osbourne Family Lights as well as the Electrical Parade, both of which are simply magical!

Pittsburgh Airport, Golf & Daytona International Speedway

I found this cool picture while digging and thought I'd throw it in. At some point I was at the Pittsburg Airport and saw this cool statue!

We also tend to play a lot of golf and I do not remember what course this was but I'm sure it was fun.

Not sure what trip I was on but I know I was headed to Orlando when i took this one... Cool picture of Daytona International Speedway!

Philadelphia, PA

What can I say, Philly is awesome. Good food, great people, lots to do, and I had some great company as well! This trip was pleasure and not business but I'm still including it in my journeys. I checked into the Sheraton in City Center and blown away by my view. This was my first time in Philly and didn't know what to expect. Everyone I talked to was nice, which I'm told is odd, but my experience was different. People opened doors at random places, said hello and smiled. I ate at Geno's which I wasn't to thrilled by. The place was cool, but cheese steak, not so much! I actually enjoyed Carmine's at an indoor market much better. One of the coolest things we did was the haunted house tour of The Eastern State Penitentiary. Really creepy and surreal to see how and where these inmates lived. If you make a trip there I recommend eating at Phillips Seafood in the Sheraton, it was a mistake based on lack of time, but the food was amazing!

Corry, PA

Corry, PA was a very little town with a huge car lot and an auto auction but we had to stay over 30 min away in Clymer, NY at a resort by the name of Peak N Peak. This was a great time!!! We rented a large duplex right on the golf course. Both sides of the duplex had pool tables in the basements, flat screen TVs throughout, and lots of room to cook. We all took advantage of this and it brought the team together! I however did not enjoy the city of Corry as there was nothing there to do. We spent most of our free time at the Lodge at Peak N Peak. I ended meeting some cool people and spent the next weekend in Philadelphia as a result.

Meadville, PA

My next big trip was to a small town by the name of Meadville, PA. This was my first time doing a sale with the team I am now with. I didn't really know what to expect since I had never worked in PA nor with a team of this caliber. I guess I would say I fit in since I'm still working with this great group of guys today! We were in Meadville in early September and the leaves had just began to turn, it was absolutly beautiful. I actually ended up renting a car and driving through the hills. Meadville isn't the best place to party or eat great food but the people are friendly and it gives you that home town feel. It was a great experience and I made a nice check while I was there.

My first road trip!!!

My first trip since deciding to come on the road was a 1 week trip to NYC for the 4th of July before I started my first sale the next week. I spent a lot of time in Brooklyn , Coney Island, and Manhattan! Witnessed the Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest, got to watch fireworks from the deck on Coney Island, took pictures with some girls that didn't speak English but still wore our colors. It was an all around blast...

January and the start of this blog and a new life...

I do not want you to start off by hating me but I am a traveling car salesman. My actual title is Promotional Sales and Marketing Consultant. I am part of a team that goes in to dealerships all over the United States and helps them liquidate there inventory and get back to a state of profit. I have been on the road doing this for almost 2 years and I must say I love most of it... In the beginning of January I worked a sale in Bremen, IN which is a small town outside of South Bend, IN and realized that I wasn't in a positive state of mind and that had to change. I decided to go from this...

 to this...

My whole goal for the month of January was to realize what was wrong with my state and get back on track. I had a huge change in my life the middle of 2010 and I was still running from it. It was now almost 2 years later I was 20+ lbs over weight and I had picked up smoking. I started the Ultimate Edge, a program by Anthony Robbins and things started to fall into place. I have lost over 15lbs and I haven't smoked in 3 weeks. I now have well thought out goals and a positive mindset!!! This is one of my goals... I spend a lot of time on the road and have been to some great places, I have decided to document my journey's and let people know about some of these little towns that I travel to, as some of them have great character and might be worth taking your own trip to... Thanks for checking this out, stay tuned for the journey!
